Google Chrome and IE 11 no longer support opening help files that use xmlhttprequest requests to access and read local files. See KB article 40070 for details. A new system for delivering local help files is under development but is not yet available.

In the meantime, you can access this help content using one of these methods:

• Open this help in a different browser such as Firefox or an older version of IE. Copy the URL above and paste it into your browser's URL bar.
• View this help system from the ArcGIS Resource Center web site.
• If the help system you are trying to access is an Install Guide, an alternate version of these is available on the product media.
  On your setup disk or downloaded media files, browse to the Install_guides\simple_format folder. Double-click the install.html file. The help system will open in your default browser.
  Note: The simple format version does not highlight the selected topic in the TOC pane.
